DURANGO

Today,
We went over to Jan's Funny Farm and read the post about Durango. This was the first paragraph on their post:

"Durango is a puppy that was recently adopted from a shelter by the Brat Pack over at Five Happy Hounds. He is sick and has been diagnosed with Parvo. His adopter has run up a large vet bill trying to save his life. But it isn't looking good at the moment. They are about to try a risky (and probably very expensive) procedure to give him every chance to pull through and have some happiness in his life."

So we went over to Five Happy Hounds and read about Durango. Right now, Durango is not feeling so good, "His white blood cell count is at 350 (normal low range is 5000) which is half of the last labs, proteins and albumin are very low as well. The vomiting and diarrhea have increased too.". His owners have been trying their best to help him live a good life full of love because he's never experienced that.

"I don't want him to suffer, but I do want him to have every chance. I ok'd the transfusion for tonight and I have no idea if I've done the right thing or not. If he makes it through they'll run his bloodwork in the morning but if there's no improvement I can't continue to make him do this. This is a horrible, horrible situation and it's not fair that he's going through it. He doesn't even know what it means to have a good life and to have someone who cares about him, it's just flat out unfair."

We are praying SO hard fur you Durango, and fur your family!! No matter what happens, everything will be fine. Things happen fur a reason, so don't you worry!

This is a lovely post for Durango. We hope the news of Durango's death is wrong but most likely it is true. We're like everyone else, waiting for the family to post an update.

Sure is sad to know that Durango could not survive.
At least he had a few happy days with MaryAnn and the pack.
It is very hard to understand but like you said things happen for a reason.
Kisses and hugs

I just had mom read me your post over the phone, because she is not home yet. I am sorry to hear about the story about Durango. I am very sad. I will go to Jan's to see more about him.

Hi girls!

I was so sad to hear that Durango crossed the bridge. The most comforting thing is that he died knowing he was one loved pup. No WAY anypup of Maryann's would go unloved.

He was a lucky boy for the last few days of his life to be able to spend it in the arms of a great family.

Run like the wind, Durango!

Goober love,
STanley

So sad about Durango! My purrs to his humans.

Come over on Sunday to help cheer the Packers in their game against the New York Giants. I know nought about football but am the official cheerleader of the National Feline League and have been asked by one of the kitties to cheer the Green Bay Packers on. So I do!
