UPDATE ON BRUNO!

Hey there everyfur!
I want to thank everyone who prayed fur dear Bruno or even helped him out! That was so generous of you and Bruno sent me a pee mail saying that he was very very very happy to see everyone helping out with his surgery!! We're really sorry we haven't been posting or commenting in a while, but we'll get to replying your comments, we promise!! However, one of the comments we got, well, actually three, were from Jan's Funny Farm" telling us that Bruno had updated his diary on Dogster, so we went and checked it out and here is what his entries were:

TO ALL MY WONDERFUL FRIENDS
January 29th 2008 2:38 pm
My mom just got back in town, she drives cross country truck, so she is just now getting to all the wonderful mail and lots of it, First I have to say Thank you to everybody!! Dogster wrote to say this to us, and I hope I didnt affend anyone with the fundraising, I am just doing what any furmom would do to save their kids life, fundraising for a pet's medical expenses is not permitted in the public areas of Dogster (Forums, Pet Pages, etc.) without the prior permission
of HQ. We've had to remove the content on Bruin's Pet Page that alludes to fundraising. If you have permission from one of the Groups that Bruno belongs to, I would suggest you post in the Group.
I am not sure how to go about it and I am learning my way around here, I am working on all the letters that everyone has sent, OK NOW!!!! athe great news is that The vet called yesterday and she is going to except what we have so far and allow Bruno to come in Wednesday and if it is possible to remove the tumor she will if not we will see if there is anything that can be done and if its to late then he will join all his Dogster and catster friends in heaven so he dont suffer anymore, this vet I have been going to for years, Dr. Sandy, she is the best!! She has taken care of all my furkids for 11 years, She saved Bruno from dying from the heartworms and if any mirical can be preformed to save him again she can do it, and it was really nice of her to put saving his life first and taking payment as we collect it, we are not to far from our goal to collect enough yet to pay the whole bill yet but will get there. You all know I was just looking at all the pup pals and friends, hey we are all from all parts of the world, wow! We are global and we all come together as one, thats a blessing!

ITS A DOGS LIFE, BY ME BRUNO
I made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took Bruno in to see Dr Sandy Smith this morning and she was able to remove the tumor from Bruno sucessfully, I knew if anyone could help do that it was her. The tumor weighed in just over 2lbs and they will send it to test to see if it is cancerous or not. I will be picking him up at 4:00 this afternoon. Our prayers were answered, he is going to be alright, he has to take it easy while he recovers then he can play and run and jump and live a happy full life now. I'd like to thank you all for all the help and prayers you all sent for Bruno, we will continue raising the funds needed to pay Bruno's special doctor and her staff for saving his life a second time now, If you would like to help me say thank you to her you can send her your special notes , cards and letters, It was such a wonderful thing she did putting Bruno's life first and taking care of him while we raise the funds, not many vets would do that especially now a days, so if you would like to join me in thanking her and her staff you can write her at
Dr. Sandra Smith
1517 N. Leroy
Fenton, Michigan, 48430
and since he has to wear one of those cone shaped collers for awhile so he cant bother those stiches, I guess I will have to make a wider path for him and move any breakable nic nacs he can bump into, LOL, a small price to pay for having his life saved a second time. He is such a lucky fella, he is so loving and so happy since he came here and heck he is only 4 years old, just a baby and now he will have alot of great years ahead of him, he will never suffer or cry because he is in horrible pain any more . We are blessed to have such a wonderful Dr. taking care of him to. Chris

See? We knew the power of prayers and furry's helping out would help Bruno out!! We're so happy he got the surgery!!! And now, we're just praying so that the tumor doesn't turn out to be cancerous!! Thanks again everyone!!

I am very happy to learn Bruno's surgery was successful. We will purr more for a quick recovery and good news for the tests.

Maya and Kena, this is the first time I comment on your blog. I am Karl's fiance and you both were on Miss Peach birthday party in Antarctica. I am a very dog friendly cat and like to know you better, so... I tagged you both for a meme! :-)

We can see why Hammer has a problem leaving a message. We have to right click to get comments to open lately.

Anyway, we dropped by to check on Bruno today and he had an adventure already and shredded his cone collar. Needs a new one. But he's fine. Just had to pee in the middle of the night. :)

That's great news about Bruno and I'm super glad I was actually able to open your blog - it kept jamming up HM's computer before so hopefully we've figured it out now and can come back and catch up on what's going on again soon!
