Hey everyone!
We just came back from our afternoon walkie just now, but it wasn't an ordinary walkie...
As soon as we got outside the house, we heard a loud noise coming from behind our house in the sky, and it was 3 helicopters!! So our human brother ran back inside the house and got the camera to snap some pics before they went away.
Our camera isn't of great quality, so the helicopters seem really far away, but they were actually REALLY close...
This one was white and red, and was the first one we could see (it looked closer)
This one was small and blue, we thought maybe it was the police one?? Who knows...
And then this one was really low compared to the other two, we didn't see it at first because some houses covered it...
We stood there fur a while and just watched.... or actually, our humans did just that, we just lay down on the grass and waited fur our walkie to resume...
Our humans were just staring into the sky... and fur a long time too.. they looked funny...hee hee. Well, anyways, after a long time of staring at those 3 helicopters, our humans saw that the blue one was coming our way and kept going, and it left. Not long after, a red one arrived from the left and entered the scene. At this time, weird things started happening. Our human sister saw a thing that looked like a red plane in the sky flying right next to the red and white helicopter, and at first she thought it was a missile.... silly sister... Our brothers just laughed because they knew it was just a plane, but we think our sister thought like that because she was trying to make some sense out of this situation. Well, after we say the plane/"missile", two hawks flew right above us and our humans were scared fur us, but a few seconds later, they left and there was nothing to worry about.
Our humans kept taking pics of the different helicopters...
After taking LOTS of pics, we headed back home. And just as we were about to enter the house, two more helicopters arrived. But there wasn't any point in taking the pics, it was too hard to capture the helicopters. So instead our human sister went on the computer onto The Mercury News and investigated today's news stories. One of them fit perfectly into the puzzle. And here it is:
"Police detonate dynamite found in San Jose garage

San Jose police observe the scene where the bomb squad prepares to... (Richard Koci Hernandez)
San Jose police have evacuated about 25 homes in a San Jose neighborhood today after a homeowner discovered a box of dynamite in the garage.
The homeowner was cleaning the garage at his recently deceased grandfather's residence on ... when he found a box that looked like it hadn't been touched in years, according to police. Upon opening the carton he saw what appeared to be a stick of dynamite and called 911, said Capt. Vaughn Edwards, Commander of the San Jose Police Department's Southern Division.
San Jose Fire Department were the first to respond to the scene, followed by members of the Police Department bomb squad.
They evacuated the neighborhood near ... at about 11:45 a.m., according to Jane Chunn, who lives two doors down from the residence.
Police then sent a robot into the garage to retrieve the box. Inside was five to six sticks of dynamite.
Police then dug a 3-foot hole in the yard, surrounded it with another 3 feet of sandbags.
As about a dozen onlookers watched at a safe distance, a police officer yelled "Fire in the hole" several times and then detonated the explosives."
It turns out this happened at a street that was just a few minutes away from us!! Wheww... how scary... We're just glad that no one was hurt...
Well, that's our exciting story fur today!

Hi, Maya and Kena -
That is some exciting news. We are glad that no one was hurt. We get to see helicopters too but mostly they do practice maneuvers which can be pretty boring!
