Hi again!!

We've had some time to catchup on some blogs and posts, and so we will now post about our 3 tags to catch up even more.

On March 5th, we were given the Whippet Challenge by Butchy & Snickers. Here it is:

Here is her challenge:

I'm challenging bloggers to make something, anything, and post about it. Let's see what you creative people come up with! Here are the rules:

1. Make something, anything. It doesn't have to be complicated or artsy. Make a list, take an interesting picture, make some one's day, make dinner, make a doodle, make fun of yourself, make a poem, make your bed (OK, that last one is lame).
2. Write a post about it. With pictures for extra brownie points.
3. Link to this blog and challenge six other bloggers to do the same.

We chose to post about our scrapbook. Our human sister just got into scrapbooking last summer when it was our human's first summer with us doggies. The scrapbook only has pages from when Maya arrived up to the summer of 2007, ever since school started she was busy and didn't have any time, but may one day she will catch up.

Then, on March 14th, we were tagged by Hershey and Kaci to do the book tag!! The rules were:

1. Grab the nearest book of 123 pages or more.
2. Open it to page 123.
3. Find the first five sentences and write them down.
4. Then invite five friends to do the same.

The book we chose was Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian. We think there is also a movie on it.





One of our human siblings read this book when they were in school in Hong Kong and they were teaching WWII. Our human sibling said it is a really good book!! So here are the first five (or maybe six... hee hee) sentences on page 123:



'I ain't allowed,' emphasized Willie. 'I don't do that sort of thing.'

Zach was astounded. He thought the whole world had heard of Fred Astaire.

'Well, there's only one way to explain tap.' He moved the case to one side, rolled back the carpet and told the others to sit by the bookcase. He then put the shoes on and laced them up.

Now we invite anyone who wants to share one of their books to go ahead and do this tag. We didn't pick anyone because we weren't sure whether others have done it or if they have any books to share or not. So feel free to share your books!

And the last tag we received (which was today) was from Asta. It was Linda's Make a Wish Meme. Here are the rules:



1. Think about what it is that you want more than anything, what your heart's desire and fondest wish is, and what it is that you would wish for if you were to see the above wishing star flame across the night sky.

Oh!! And before we finish this post (sorry it's so long), we want to tell you guys that we found another pup on Dogster who needs financial help, just like Bruno did, remember?

Well, this pup, Smuckers, is a 9 month old Miniature Dachshund who has had a deformed spine ever since he was born. Here is the story that his human posted about him:

"Hello everyone my name is Amanda and I am the proud owner of two male mini dachshunds. However, my little guy really needs help. His name is SMuckers and he was born with a deformed spine. He is such a special little dog and he means everything to me. He has touched so many peoples lives in his short 8 months here on earth.



Smuckers needs to see a neurologist which will cost us $1,450.00 to get his MRI scans and the vet visit. We need to get him seen so that we can figure out what exactly is wrong, and if anything can be done.

I was not expecting Smuckers to be in such pain already. As soon as he reached 6.lbs his pain got much worse. I have always taken good care of him and taken him to all apointments with his vet and paid for it on my own. I am disabled and live on a small budget. My vet has told me to start him on pain medications, so that is how we are trying to manage his time for now. But even with the pain meds, he still seems to be suffering from pain. I give him water therapy, massage, and he has a heating pad that he uses to try and help ease his pain.



We are looking for ANYONE that may be willing to help us. Even if you can only donate one dollar...We appreciate EVERY CENT!

The money donated goes DIRECTLY into his vet account that I had the vet set up. The money is never in my own possession. And to confirm all of this, I will give you all the vet information, and even their website link so that you can see for yourself.

I love this little guy with all of my heart, and I consider him to not only be my therapy dog, but also my child in a way.

I know that there are organizations out there that can help us, especially since I am disabled, but if I can raise the money on my own, others who need the financial assistance of those organizations will be able to use the funds. And not only that, but I know that if surgery is an option, I will need those funds. I feel guilty enough about needed to ask for money, but using an organization twice would make me feel horrible, and most of the organizations will only give you funding one time.

Please email me directly for more information, photos, and how to donate. Even if you can not donate...Maybe some encouraging words? I am starting to lose hope We have had his account set up for a couple weeks and I am working like crazy to get the word out, but we have only gotten one donation. But we do appreciate it! And to us, prayers are just as important and meaningful as the donations, so if you can not donate, please pray for him.

I am asking as a person who loves my animals more then life itself. I cannot deal with having to have this little one put down at only 8 months because of his pain and my lack of financial ability.
