On June 27th, 2007, our parents drove us to the airport. My brothers and I thought we were picking up a package of books that my aunt had ordered from Panama, at least that's what our parents had told us. My parents got off the car and we waited inside. When they came back, we noticed that they didn't have a package, they had a crate! Could it be? And it was!!! We had a second puppy!!! I was SO HAPPY! I couldn't believe what I was seeing, for a second, I thought it was all a dream, it was just too much excitement! As soon as my parents arrived at the car, they opened the crate door and out walked a cute little pup! She was kind of shy at first, but not at all like Maya had been, this one started wagging her tail and licking us as we held her in our arms. Right there and then we decided her name: Kena. My parents told us that Kena was a gift from them to us for our good grades in school. I was really glad that I had worked hard throughout the year! Maya had been in the car with us and she didn't really pay any attention to the new addition to the family, all she did was sniff her. But later, when we got home, Maya paid more attention to her. Especially in the night, Kena was on the sofa and Maya realized Kena had been here for a whole day already, so she began to sniff her some more. Kena began to get annoyed with all the sniffing, and she began growling at Maya. From that moment on, we knew Kena would be a grouchy little girl. But that didn't matter, we still loved her the same.
