Maya was only 11 weeks old when she arrived. She was a very small pup (She was the runt of the litter plus her parents were smaller than the average size Cairn Terrier), and we were all afraid of stepping on her. So for several days, everyone was very cautious about where they stepped. Maya was a very shy pup when she had just arrived, her tail was always in between her two hind legs, but as time passed, she began to adjust to the fact that we were her family now.
