SCV Kennel Show

Hey there (again!)
We just received sniffs from our humans back at home (We are still at Koobuss' Pawty saying our goodbyes before we leave tomorrow) that today they went to check out a dog show!! Ummm... hello? What about us? Your DOGS?!? But after they said that no registered dogs were allowed, we felt much better. The dog show had started at 7 in the morning and would last until about 6 pm, but our humans arrived at noon and only stayed there fur a couple of hours. This was the first time our humans had been to a dog show; they found out about it on the internet, and our human daddy read that there was going to be a Cairn Terrier arena, and so they went to see specifically that.

Our humans told us it was amazing how all the Cairns had perfect form and beautiful fur!! But they said that even though we were not up to "standard", whatever that means, that they love us SO much! Aww... thanks family!
There were not only Cairn Terriers, there were other arenas with other doggies as well, but our humans were very eager to see our breed, so they sat at the Cairn arena the whole time. The Cairn Terrier show was hosted by the Cairn Terrier Club of Northern California and they also had raffle tables and information tables next to the arena. Our humans said that there were tons of Cairn decorations, t-shirts, painting, signs, etc. But they didn't participate in the raffle. They said that they had a wonderful time!! Maybe the next time there's a dog show, dogs (that are not part of the shows) will be allowed and maybe we can go!

That was lucky of your humans to get to go to the show. We watch the Westminster show on the TV. Of course we missed the herding dogs but Dad found it on the internet for us to watch. Dad still says I was more handsome than any of them. Of course Louie is too once he grows into those ears of his...

Hi Girls,
That is too bad that you could not go. Maybe it would be too distracting to have a lot of other Cairns at the show? Those are all great pictures. My mom likes doggie shows, but has never been to one. I wonder when there will be a cat show....I'll have to investigate.
Have a great day!

Hey girls!

Our staff goes to a cat show once or twice a year and I was there too one time -- a special about different "not standard" Cornish Rexes, hahaha.(I have no curls) I know it is different than a dog show, but I loved all the attention I got from the visitors!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say. Our staff says we are all beautiful - inside and outside, pure bred and not, standard and not standard, kitty and woofie!
